Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies) might get romantically involved with Will Gardner (Josh Charles) in Season 5 of The Good Wife, Juliana Margulies seemed to suggest in an interview with E! Online.

In the fourth season finale, Alicia decided to leave Lockhart/Gardner -- secretly planning her exit to start a new firm with Cary (Matt Czuchry) -- and recommit to her husband, Peter Florrick (Chris North). But in her interview with E! Online, Margulies suggested that things are not as they seem. Saying that her decisions might have also been motivated by her attraction to Will.

"I think she knows as long as she's at Lockhart and Gardner, there's no way to make her marriage work," Margulies told the publication. "Because she'll always be seeing Will. I think she knows, that last scene, it was one of my favorite scenes, where she's in the car with Will and she's completely come undone. It's that feeling of, unless I'm away from you, this will keep happening. So she has to make that choice. Otherwise it will be divorce and she wouldn't be starting out her own law firm."

As a viewer and fan of the show, Margulies went on to speak about what she wished for Alicia. Her suggestions might allude to how the character arc in Season might play out:

"What I root for in Alicia is for her to let her hair down and to do what feels good, not what feels right. I, as the fan of the show, want to see her come undone again. Because I think she's so buttoned up and so afraid, she holds her cards so close to the vest. And as soon as she starts playing them out, she can't stand up. So I'm looking forward to seeing that from her and I think many factors are going to start happening."

The stuff Margulies alludes to seems to corroborated by the recently revealed synopsis of the third episode, A Precious Commodity, of Season 5 of The Good Wife, which suggested that Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies) might decide to stay on with Lockhart/Gardner.

The synopsis revealed that Will Gardner will catch wind of Alicia's secret plans and do something to deflect her from the course that she is on and keep her at the firm.

Season 5 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. E.T. on CBS
