With all the rumors surrounding the possible Justice League movie in 2017, an alleged script from the film has surfaced online.

The script, which has a full review of what happens in it over on Superhero Movie News, was for the planned 2007 film, Justice League: Mortal, set to be directed by Mad Max director George Miller. The script was written by Kieran and Michele Mulroney.

The film, which was initially commissioned to piggyback off of the development of Batman Begins and Superman Returns, was stalled for several reasons, including the less-than-stellar reception of Superman and the 2007 WGA Writers Strike which resulted in several half-formed films.

It has also been rumored that the film was stalled after both Brandon Routh and Christian Bale balked at reprising their roles as Superman and Batman, requiring a recast. Bale later went on to star in the entire Dark Knight Trilogy, while the Superman role has since been successfully portrayed by Henry Cavill. Cavill will face off against Ben Affleck in 2015's Batman vs. Superman.

The film was contracted to star D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter.

The story was supposed to follow the seven heroes as they struggled with their own interpersonal relationships, as well as the satellite that Bruce Wayne installed to spy on them, according to MTV.

Other actors that were contracted for the film included Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord, Zoe Karzan as Iris West-Allen, Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul and Stephen Tobolowsky as Alfred Pennyworth.

After the film was scrapped, the DC franchise went on to produce the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight films, Watchmen, Jonah Hex, and Green Lantern. None of the stars attached to Mortal  appeared in those films.
