Royce Reed, the former reality star of VH1's Basketball Wives is now speaking out about how she felt like she sold her soul for television.

In an interview with VH1, the 32-year-old mother and owner of the mentorship program and dance company, "Fantashique" revealed how mentally draining it was for her being a cast mate.

"[Being on the show], I felt like I was being a hypocrite, because I'm on a show where there's like, constant fighting, and yet I'm sitting here trying to voice something different," Reed told VH1. "As much as I enjoyed the checks, it wasn't worth contradicting myself and doing something I didn't really believe in."

She compared being on the show to selling her soul all for a paycheck.

"I felt kinda like I was selling my soul," Reed said. "I was totally fine with the way I went out last season, you saw me doing my career, you saw me being me."

Last year, Reed took to her Tumblr to write a personal blog post about having a different idea for the reality show when she initially joined the show.

"The way the show was pitched is completely different than what it has become. We pitched the show as being positive and with goal oriented and career driven woman that also like to have fun while dealing with the stresses of their exes or spouses and life," Reed wrote. "Our common bond was Basketball and we all had a child/children. Yes, the BBW brand has millions of viewers and has pulled in ratings but I have to admit I wish it would've taken a more positive route."

Reed has a son with NBA basketball player, Dwight Howard.
