Emma Stone has suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Met Gala on Monday. Although she appeared perfect in her red flowered Lanvin dress, there was a hole right at the seam where the zipper was.


A photograph taken of the pretty star after the party shows her looking horrified at the hole on the back of her dress with Lanvin designer Albert Elbaz looking on. She managed to throw a maroon leather jacket over her dress to prevent further embarrassment.


Despite the rip, the Amazing Spiderman actress still managed to make the best dressed list at the Met Gala, which some refer to as the "Oscars of the East Coast".

When asked about the dress on the red carpet earlier, she told People that it was "rainproof".


Emma Stone is set to play Spiderman's love interest in the new Spiderman film, which will debut this summer.


She has also been announced as one of the presenters for the upcoming MTV Movie Awards, along with boyfriend and co-star Andrew Garfield, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg.
Stone is nominated in two categories, including Best Female Performance for "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and Best Kiss with Ryan Gosling in "Crazy, Stupid, Love."
