Bones is enlisting in a recent Olympic gold medalist for an upcoming episode of the series.

Gymnast McKayla Maroney, who garner two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics, has been cast as a guest star in an upcoming episode, according to Entertainment Weekly. Maroney will play Ellie, a friend and rival of a recently killed girl named Amanda.

Emmy winner Richard Schiff (The West Wing) will be playing Amanda's father Leon Watters, a theoretical physician who buries himself in his work. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will see herself in Watters so much that the report refers to Watters as "the Dr. Brennan of theoretical physics." Watters keeps himself busy to distract himself from the death of his daughter.

It is not yet known when Maroney and Schiff will be appearing in the season, but they will not be appearing immediately.

Before the duo makes their Bones debut, Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) will be going on their honeymoon. After Bones returns on Nov. 4, the newlyweds will go on their honeymoon and then eventually face the topic of parenting.

"Like any parent whose job puts them in danger, they will have to balance whether they want to continue with that kind of job," Bones creator Hart Hanson revealed to TVLine recently. "Is it fair to the child or children to be in gun battles and stuff? We have to start talking about that as a story generator."

Bones returns Monday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
