The rumors that Wonder Woman will be in Man of Steel 2 with Batman and Superman are continuing, this time with a possible frontrunner to play the iconic superhero.

At the recent Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, actress Jaimie Alexander expressed her interest in playing Wonder Woman and might have teased her potential appearance in Man of Steel 2.

The actress, who has a significant role in Thor: The Dark World, said that she "kind of knows the story line for that movie," referring to Man of Steel 2. Considering very few people know details about the highly anticipated movie, her comments may indicate her possible involvement.

When Forbes asked Alexander for a follow-up on the rumors that she may play Wonder Woman in Man of Steel 2, she was relatively tight-lipped.

"Being in the comic book world, we know a lot of the same people at DC and Marvel, so we hear a lot of things, but it's all speculation right now," Alexander said. "But I would absolutely love that [Wonder Woman appearing in one of the upcoming films]. Thankfully and gratefully, I'm appreciative to the people who ask my opinion of the character, and that's been pretty amazing."

Adam West to Play Batman's Father in Man of Steel 2? 

If Alexander and/or Wonder Woman does not appear in Man of Steel 2, she and/or the character may show up in the frequently buzzed about Justice League movie, which brings multiple D.C. superheroes together.

"I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done," Alexander stated.

Man of Steel 2, more commonly known as Batman vs. Superman, will be released in theaters on July 17, 2015.
