James Spader will provide more than just the voice of the Avengers: Age of Ultron villain.

Back in August, the highly anticipated Joss Whedon film announced that the former Boston Legal actor had snagged the role of the robotic Ultron. However, how much of Spader would go into the visual portrayal of Ultron was unknown.

Thanks to a recent statement from Kevin Feige, Marvel Studio's president of production, it does not look like Ultron will be entirely a computer-generated image.

"I think it will be more than a voice role -- we'll be capturing his face and his body to create a whole performance," Feige explained to the Huffington Post. "He's a very unique and incredibly exciting and unpredictable actor."

Preproduction for the 2015 film is already well underway and director Joss Whedon and his team are busy creating some sort of costume for Ultron.

"Just this weekend I went in for them to take very extensive photographs, head scans, body scans, and all kinds of things in preparation for figuring out how the hell I'm gonna fit in this Ultron character," Spader confided to the Inquirer in late September.

The 53-year-old actress his currently displaying his villainous skills on NBC's breakout hit The Blacklist. Since Ultron is not your run of the mill robot - he wasn't when he was created by Hank Pym and he definitely won't be know that Tony Stark's hands are in the project - Feige claims that a talented actor like Spader will help do the character justice.

"Ultron in the comics is a robot, but what's cool about him in the comics -- and certainly how Joss Whedon is interpreting him for the movie -- is that he is much more than just a robot," Feige said, according to the Huffington Post. "That he's infused with much character. And I don't want to say too much, but you can imagine James Spader will be very dynamic in his portrayal of this character."

Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
