Twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry have both heard good news about their television shows launched this year.
After Tia ended her six-year run on BET's television series The Game in 2012 she landed a new sitcom, Instant Mom. The scripted series stars Tia as Stephanie, a young woman who is married to an older man with children. Tia is also one of the NickMom show's producers, according to Fulton Critic.
PR Newswire reported on Nov. 22 that Nickelodeon has given the green light for a second season of InstaMom. The network also added six additional episodes to the current 20-episode season.
Tamera launched a new daytime talk show The Real this summer. She co-hosted alongside singer Tamar Braxton (Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince), Adrienne Bailon (Cheetah Girls), Jeannie Mai (Style Network's How Do I Look) and comedian Loni Love. The show first aired in seven FOX markets on July 15 the season finale aired Oct. 4.
According to RealityTea, The Real has been picked up by BET and Fox for a two-year run beginning 2014.
The twins' reality show Tia & Tamera -- which follows them juggling a career, marriage and motherhood -- recently moved to the E! The network will soon begin re-airing season 3 of the show, The Wrap reported in October. The show's original home, the Style Network, was replaced by Esquire Network in over 75 million homes. Many Style Network shows have been cancelled or moved to other cable channels before the transition began on Sept. 23.
Tamera married Adam Housley, a Fox News correspondent, on May 15, 2011. They married after dating for almost six years. The couple welcomed their son, Aden John Tanner Housley, on Nov. 12, 2012. He was delivered at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. He weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 21.5 inches when she gave birth. Both Mowry and Housley are first-time parents.
Tia gave birth to her son Cree in July 2011. She and her husband, Cory Hardict, have been married for five years and renewed their vows this past spring. The couple had an intimate ceremony with 20 guests beachside in Malibu, Calif. in April, according to Us Weekly
