Liam Hemsworth is steadfast in his efforts to get back together with Miley Cyrus and has been telling friends he misses being with her, sources close to the Hunger Games: Catching Fire star reportedly told Us Weekly.

Back in November, the 21-year-old former Disney star was said to put in efforts to win Hemsworth, 23, with a love letter. The tables have since turned, with a source close to Hemsworth saying "[Miley is] confused about how she feels [but Liam is] telling friends he misses her."

His friends claim that "the attraction hasn't gone away" and "he still has feelings" for Cyrus, despite making out with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez barely a day after his split from the Wrecking Ball singer was announced in September.

Cyrus told Cosmopolitan for its December 2013 issue that she is ready to bring her focus back to music.

"I need to treat my music like a relationship --- give it my time and all the attention it deserves - and that's my main love right now," she said. "This is the best time of my life. I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn't been dwelling over a breakup,' you know? Because that's not what God wants my life to be about right now. " 

She is busy planning her 2014 Bangerz tour while Hemsworth films the two remaining Hunger Games sequels.
