Burglars who raided Miley Cyrus' Southern California home earlier in the month among other things took with the singer's engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth worth over $100,000, according to new reports.

Robbery at the Studio City home took place when the place was empty on Friday, Nov. 22, Enstars previously reported. Cyrus, who turned 21 the next day and, discovered property missing and TMZ reported that the thief stole some of the singer's jewelry. It has been speculated that the engagement ring given to her by her ex-fiance was one of the jewels and high end accessories stolen, according to International Business Times.

"She's extremely upset and a lot of personal items were stolen," a source told Us Weekly.  "She's really shaken up about the whole thing."

Reps for Cyrus and Hemsworth, 23, confirmed the duo's split in September after a 15-month engagement. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star proposed to the Wrecking Ball singer in the summer of 2012 with a 3.5 carat cushion diamond engagement ring designed by Neil Lane.

Hemsworth wanted Cyrus to keep the engagement ring after they broke up to remember the love they once had, according to Radar Online.

"[He] wants Miley to keep the ring. He wouldn't ask for it back," an insider told the website. "Liam told Miley to keep it and do with it what she wanted. He told her to keep it as a memento of their love affair. When Liam bought that ring, he truly believed he would be spending the rest of his life with her."

Throughout their relationship they faced speculation that Hemsworth cheated on his fiancee. He was romantically linked to Mad Men star January Jones and Mexican model Eiza Gonzalez. Hemworth defended himself against media scrutiny in an interview earlier in November, saying, "What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," he said in his defense. "I know I'm a good person."

Hemsworth and Cyrus were also accused of breaking up and getting back together a number of times, fueled by the singer's tendency to go out in public and take photos without her engagement ring on.
