Once Upon a Time fans hoping that the Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy) would still be alive may not get their wish as season 3 moves forward.

Once Upon a Time executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis recently spoke with TV Guide about the possibility of the Blue Fairy being alive. The report, published Tuesday, states that while the Blue Fairy's shadow can be reattached, the crew recently filmed a funeral scene in Vancouver, indicating that she may be gone for good.

The Blue Fairy was announced dead in the most recent episode of Once Upon a Time season 3 after her shadow was ripped from her body at the hands of Peter Pan (Robbie Kay).

Tracy seemed to confirm that her character was dead via Twitter on Monday:

"And thanks for everyone who pulled for #bluefairy," she tweeted. "Don't know what more I could say other than thanks for the love. And even the hate."

In other Once Upon a Time spoiler news, the executive producers talked to TVLine about the show's midseason premiere in March. Once Upon a Time is going off the air after the Dec. 15 episode but will return in March 2014 with all new episodes.

The midseason premiere is titled New York City Serenade, a nod to the Bruce Springsteen song of the same name. In the episode, there will be a large focus on Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison). The executive producers did not say any more about the episode.
