Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt keep getting resurrected while fighting a war against an alien race in the new trailer for Edge of Tomorrow.

The clip opens with Cruise as Lt. Bill Cage strapped to a gurney in a hospital ward and then cuts to a scene of him talking to army recruits.

"What I am about to tell you sounds crazy but you have to listen to me, your very lives depend on it," he says. "You see, this is not the first time we've had this conversation."

As scenes of devastation on the battle field follow, Cruise's premonitory voice warns in the background: "The invasion will fail along with every soldier you are sending. We lose everything."

Lt. Bill Cage and Blunt's Special Forces soldier Rita Vrataski team up to fight the alien race, known as Mimics, in the film. As the trailer progresses, the emphasis is laid on Bill and Rita's relationship and the dynamic they share as fellow combatants. It seems like Rita plays a very crucial role in training Bill to figure an effective way of fighting the aliens.

It seems like Bill and Rita both have a special advantage and are stuck in a time loop, which allows them to keep returning to the war even after being killed again and again. With every time lapse they figure out more and more how to overcome and defeat the antagonistic forces.

The science-fiction film, directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith), also stars Jeremy Piven, Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, and Charlotte Riley.

The film will hit theaters on June 6 2014.
