Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and Thor: The Dark World are set to collide in an upcoming crossover episode.

The Joss Whedon production premiered without the supposition that big name heroes would be dropping in on a weekly basses, but Jaimie Alexander's Asgardian Lady Sif will become the first super powered visitor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to grace the ABC series in episode 15, according to Spoiler TV.

ABC president Paul Lee announced Lady Sif's impending appearance Friday at the Television Critic Association winter press tour, adding to the series' commitment to fit in with current Marvel Phase Two films. While SHIELD often harkens back to 2012's Avengers, Lady Sif's appearance comes after the program's November tie in with Thor: The Dark World.

"It did take us a little bit of time to find our sea legs," Lee admitted, according to IGN The key was to really work with the studios and showrunners and figure out how we could have a show that didn't have Iron Man but did have an incredibly amount of the Marvel Universe. It took a little bit of time to figure out the balance between procedural and an arc."

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Click the video below to see a preview of the next episode, "T.R.A.C.K.S."
