Actress Rose McGowan is returning to Once Upon a Time in the 18th episode of season 3.

McGowan will be returning as young Cora for one episode, according to a new report by TVLine. Viewers were first introduced to young Cora in the season 2 episode The Miller's Daughter. Cora struck up a friendship and subsequent love for Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) before giving birth to Regina/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla).

The reason for McGowan's return as Cora is not yet known, though it will likely be through flashback as present-day Cora died in The Miller's Daughter. Young Cora memorably decided to rip her own heart out to eliminate the weakness of love from her body and gain more power.

The second half of season 3 will also feature the Wicked Witch (guest star Rebecca Mader), the villain from The Wizard of Oz. The Wicked Witch will have her own unique name in Once Upon a Time as opposed to her name in other works, such as Elphaba from the Broadway musical Wicked.

Once Upon a Time season 3 airs its midseason premiere on Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
