Late Glee star Cory Monteith's name was misspelled during the Grammys "In Memoriam" tribute, and fans are outraged.

The star, who died in July from reported heroin and alcohol overdose, was included in the segment Sunday night because of his musical contributions on the show. However, when his name and picture showed up, his last name was misspelled as "Montieth."

This enraged Glee fans who expressed their anger via Twitter.

"Cory Monteith's name was spelled incorrectly," one fan wrote. "Someone's getting fired."

"Just caught the In Memoriam for Cory Monteith on the #GRAMMYS," said another.  "It's like a stab in the heart all over again."

"They misspelled Cory Monteith's last name," another fan tweeted. "Proofreading is a lost art. And in this case, a loss of respect too. #GRAMMYS"

Monteith, who was dating his co-star, Lea Michele, at the time of his death, was only 31 when he died. Just months before his body was discovered in a Vancouver hotel room, he had completed a stint in rehab to treat his re-surfaced substance abuse issues.

Glee's 100th Episode Spoilers

Meanwhile, the director of Glee has revealed information on the show's 100th episode, which is set to have more focus on Monteith's character, who was honored in an earlier episode titled The Quarterback.

"I don't think it could go much farther without continuing to talk about how that hurts," Paris Barclay said to Us Weekly. "There is so much feeling there and it affected the 'Glee' family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode. It definitely comes back and is dealt with in a significant way."
