Justin Bieber Jail: Singer Detained After Authorities Smelled Weed From His Private Jet [VIDEO]
The Biebs just cannot catch a break when it comes to the law.
The "Boyfriend" singer was detained Friday afternoon just after he touched down in New York City for the Super Bowl festivities, TMZ reported.
He landed at Teterboro airport in New Jersey when authorities smelled a super strong odor of marijuana lingering from his private jet. Bieber was with his dad and some of his entourage. While police have not found any weed yet, TMZ is reporting that they are keeping the plane where it is because they believe weed might still be on it.
It has been alleged that the drug could have been tossed out because it is illegal to transport between the U.S and Canada, and that Bieber and his party weren't surprised they were searched.
The 19-year-old is currently facing three different criminal charges in two countries including a DUI and assault charge from December.
Singer Miley Cyrus offered a little advice for her friend Bieber during her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night.
The "We Can't Stop" singer said, "You've got a lot of money. Pay people to make sure you don't get in trouble and party at your house, buy a house, and add a club to it."
She went on to defend herself for getting lots of flak for her twerking antics.
"I'm not doing anything illegal! I'm doing a lot of s--t but I'm not doing anything illegal! So that's all right. Everything I do is legal in California," she said.
Bieber was just released from jail Thursday afternoon (Jan. 16) after getting arrested for a DUI and drag racing in Miami Beach.
