Justin Bieber has been charged with assault for allegedly hitting a limo driver several times.

The 19-year-old pop star turned himself in to a police station in Toronto, around the same time he was being cleared of DUI charges in Florida. The Baby singer is scheduled to appear in court March 10.

According to the report filed against the young artist, he was returning with five other people in the limousine from a nightclub in the early hours on Dec. 30. A fight seemed to have ensued on the way, during the course of which, one of the passengers, allegedly Bieber, hit the driver on the head several times.

"The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police," according to the statement. "The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived."

When Bieber's US attorney, Howard Weitzman, was asked to comment, he stated that his client was innocent.
