David Arquette and Courteney Cox are finally going ahead with their divorce, after they announced their trial separation in 2010. Arquette filed the legal papers today, citing "irreconcilable differences". The actor is not seeking spousal or child support from Cox and is representing himself for the divorce, according to TMZ.

Arquette originally signed the divorce papers on March 23 this year but has waited three months to hand them into court. He met Cox on the set of "Scream" in 1995 and the pair married on June 12, 1999. They have an 8 year old daughter, Coco. Jennifer Aniston is Coco's godmother.

40-year-old Arquette recently tweeted a picture of his bar mitzvah in Israel's Western Wall. He said: "I had my Bar Mitzvah today at the wall. Finally I'm a man." He was attending another bar mitzvah when he was invited to have one himself.

Courteney Cox stars in ABC drama "Cougar Town". She is best known for her role as Monica Geller on hit comedy "Friends" and as reporter Gale Weathers in the Scream movies series. She had previously been romantically linked to actor Michael Keaton and Counting Crows' Adam Duritz.

Cox and Arquette continue to maintain a very close relationship despite their separation.
