The American political drama television series House of Cards, which debuted in early 2013 and has since developed into a major hit, is a variation of the BBC miniseries from the '90s, of the same name. It just recently entered its second season, yet there is already speculation as to which characters are most likely to be killed off in season 3, premiering in 2015.

House of Cards Season 2 Launches In February

Fans of Kevin Spacey's lead character Frank Underwood, and the show alike, can join in on the speculation, as they await the third season debut of the hit Netflix series. Already, the Edmonton Journal has speculated that several notable characters may be offed in the third season.

According to the publication, first to go may be Raymond Tusk since he is Underwood's "chief rival for President Walker's loyalties," and so there is probably no other character who Underwood would prefer to vanish from existence. Next up, Claire Underwood. Now, this may be a stretch, but it's worth considering. Underwood might "...have his wife murdered in order to earn public sympathy and to distract from whatever scandals are threatening his public standing," however this may be unlikely to occur being that Underwood "...seems to have genuine affection for Claire (regardless of how odd their relationship may be)."

The source continued its list with Remy Danton or Jackie Sharp as candidates for fifth place, Edward Meechum in fourth place, Rachel Posner in third, Gaven Orsay as second runner-up, and last but not least, the number one spot going to Frank Underwood himself. "Every house of cards eventually falls, and when it does Frank will end up being the one buried by it," they concluded.
