Sean Kanan Leaving 'General Hospital' For 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

After learning that Ava (Maura West) was responsible for Connie Falconeri's murder and confronting her, A.J. was shot by Sonny (Maurice Bernard), and has been struggling for his life ever since. Now, in a preview for the Monday, March 31 episode, his character will finally lose the battle for his life.

"Clear," doctors say in the clip as they try to revive him when he crashes once more.

When A.J. dies, he will leave behind his son, Michael (Chad Duell), and could potentially take the secret that Michael's adoptive father is the one who ultimately killed him to his grave. The only way A.J.'s killer will pay for the crime is if his former wife, Carly (Laura Wright), goes to the cops for him.

Meanwhile, the drama surrounding the huge reveal about Baby Ben will continue, as Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emmee Rylan) desperately search for their son. However, he could be found soon if Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) can get Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to open her door -- as Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is hiding inside her house with Baby Ben and threatening her life.

"I'm not going away until we talk," Nikolas says to Elizabeth through her door.

Meanwhile, Silas (Michael Easton) could soon be cleared of murder charges when Nathan (Ryan Paevy) appears to come to terms with the evidence that Silas had nothing to do with Nina's death or disappearance.

"I'm not sure that Silas did anything to Nina," he says to Madeline (Donna Mills) in the preview clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
