Brooke Logan's (Katherine Kelly Lang) complicated love life could become even more of a disaster when another one of her past loves returns to town on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Brooke Spirals Out of Control After Ridge and Katie Sleep Together?

The character has recently been shocked that her true love, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has chosen her sister, Katie (Heather Tom) over her. While she was unsuccessfully trying to win Ridge back, her former conquest (and Katie's husband) Bill (Don Diamont) was trying to reconnect with her.

However, Brooke may soon need to also contend with the return of her daughter, Hope's (Kim Matula) father, Deacon Sharpe Sean Kanan), when he returns to town in June.

A.J. Dies on 'General Hospital?'

Kanan, who currently plays A.J. Quartermaine on General Hospital has announced his plans to leave the ABC soap and return to his former role on CBS.

According to TV Guide, Kanan decided to leave GH because he was unsatisfied with how his character's return from the dead had been handled.

"I was utterly thrilled to be brought back to GH for the 50th anniversary and really enjoyed working with [executive producer] Frank Valentini, but I was not over the moon about the writing," Kanan said. "Doing stories about panic attacks and relish was not what I thought I'd signed up for. I feel I brought everything I could to the character yet it was obvious they weren't going to give me a great love story, which I found very disappointing."

"Romantic relationships are the bread and butter of daytime, and you can only survive on a show for so long without one," he continued. "I could see the writing on the wall, I spoke with Frank, and we mutually agreed that if I wasn't happy, and they could find a good way to write me out, that it was best to wrap it up."

Because the actor is seeking a romantic relationship, it could mean that he might throw himself into the fight for Brooke's heart as well when he returns to the soap. He is set to film his last scenes as A.J. Quartermaine on March 28, and will appear on the show for a few weeks after that. He begins work at B&B in April.

His character on GH is currently in a coma after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. Because of the actor's departure, he will likely be killed off the show once again as a result.

The last time Kanan appeared in Los Angeles as Deacon Sharpe, he had teamed up with Bill to keep Hope and Liam (Scott Clifton) apart, and had also inadvertently broken up Brooke's marriage to Ridge. His last episode aired on Oct. 9, 2012.
