The upcoming seventh and final season of True Blood will feature several spooky new villains to face off against the main cast of characters.
True Blood fans will be introduced to a villainous man named Mr. Gus in season 7, according to a new report by E! Online. The report claims that Mr. Gus is a native of Japan who has embraced an "everything's bigger in Texas" lifestyle. Mr. Gus will be on a quest for revenge in the upcoming season, and he will prove himself to be someone not to be crossed with.
It was also recently announced that the final season of True Blood would feature the introduction of a new character called "The Figure." True Blood producers sent out a casting call for The Figure, as discovered by TVLine, and the creature is described as "scary, hulking, ugly, mean and crafty... like Leatherface or Jason Voorhees, but this guy talks."
The Figure is set to appear in the season 7 premiere, though the report notes that the premiere episode was filmed several months ago.
Very little has been revealed about the final season of True Blood, though a few details have been revealed about the season premiere. The season 7 premiere is titled Jesus Gonna Be Here and is directed by Stephen Moyer, who portrays vampire Bill Compton on the show. The episode will feature a flashback to young Sookie (Anna Paquin) and young Tara (Rutina Wesley).
True Blood season 7 premieres in summer 2014 on HBO, though the network has not yet announced a specific air date.
