Floyd Mayweather Jr. has said that he'd fight Manny Pacquiao only if the Filipino boxer parted ways with promoter Bob Arum. Floyd Mayweather Sr. also suggested that Pacquiao should end relations with Top Rank, the promotion company run by Arum, in order to fight his son. Yet, Pacquiao refuted those claims.

Pacquiao On Mayweather: "I Want That Fight"

"The truth is, he doesn't have interest in fighting me," Pacquiao told The Los Angeles Times. "It's not about the promoter."

The boxer's publicist Fred Sternburg also added, "Two fighters who want to fight each other have never been kept from fighting each other."

Pacquiao, who will fight undefeated champion Timothy Bradley on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, also revealed that he has no desire to leave Arum after his contract ends this year.

"Right now, I don't have issues," Pacquiao told the publication. "I'm the kind of person that doesn't look to make changes. Look at me, since I've fought in America, I've only had one trainer [Freddie Roach]. I never change. We have a good relationship with Top Rank, with Bob."

On the other hand, Mayweather Jr. ended his relationship Arum almost 10 years ago and he's deemed it the best decision of his career. He's also criticized the 35-year-old for staying with Top Rank.

"For me, if he wants to fight, the fight will be on," Pacquiao said. "The ultimate answer is from him. I'm just waiting to see if he'll change his mind."
