A security guard made the tragic discovery last weekend while The Avengers: Age Of Ultron was filming in Seoul, South Korea, according to IGN.

The Marvel film was shooting atop the Mapo Bridge when a body was found underneath it. IGN reports that the deceased is believed to have died two weeks prior to the start of filming.

Meanwhile, the living inhabitants of Seoul have been left to try and navigate around the Age of Ultron set, a time-consuming problem that director Joss Whedon issued an advanced apology for.

"I'm really grateful and excited to be filming in your city," Whedon told the residents of Seoul in a YouTube video. "We are going to mess it up a bit and inconvenience some people for a few days, and I apologize for that. I know what that's like. I live in Los Angeles, it happens to me all the time and it's not fun. I hope that it will be worth it. We love this move, we love your city, and having the two of them together will show the city to the world in a light that I don't think it's been shown, [at least] certainly not in America."

The Phase 2 film has also filmed scenes in South Africa and Italy.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
