Bollywood filmmaker David Dhawan apparently made some negative remarks about actress Katrina Kaif and her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan, which sparked up some controversy.

Katrina Kaif To Star In Dhoom: 4?

On Wednesday, One India Entertainment reported that Kaif and Khan are both friends with the director so there isn't much to worry about. Yet in Dhawan's upcoming film Main Tera Hero, there is supposed to be a line by Raju Kher that makes fun of Kaif's command over the Hindi language.

If audiences are upset at all over this, Dhawan doesn't seem to mind since Kaif probably doesn't have a problem with it.

Katrina Kaif Losing Sleep?

"It is just an off-the-cut remark, a bantering quip in the film, and Katrina is a girl I've known for many years," Dhawan said. "In fact she did her first big film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya with Salman and me. She can never be offended with what I do. She knows it's all in fun."

As for Khan's mocking, Dhawan allegedly gave him a poke when he mentioned that his son, Varun, won't get married until Khan does. The filmmaker did made it clear, though, that it was just a joke.

"I was just doing some masti with my son," Dhawan said. "I don't see any likelihood of Salman getting married. So I was kidding about Varun staying a bachelor."

While it's speculated that Khan will never get married, there was a report that Kaif was set to marry Ranbir Kapoor, but the actress denied the rumors.

Main Tera Hero is set to hit theaters on April 4.
