Titus Welliver spoke about playing a villain in the Transformers 4: Age of Extinction in a recent interview suggesting it was his job to "eradicate the world of Transformers."

When asked about his role, as Savoy, in the film, Welliver told TheArnoldFans, that he was leading the team that would exterminate the robotic heroes.

"I basically play the shark, like the shark of JAWS. I play this (Navy) Seal who has been tasked with eradicating the world of Transformers," he said. "Since the battle in Chicago in the previous film, they've now become outlawed so i'm in charge of a group of guys who are doing that."

The actor also spoke about his relationship with the film and if he was familiar with the franchise. Welliver suggested that his kids were his richest source.

"Very much so," he said "I have three children and they were actually my encyclopedia for that. I watched all the films but any questions that I had, I just talked to my 14 year old, and my 12 and 8 year old."

He went on to add that his children had many of the Transformers action figures.

The movie also stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, and Titus Welliver.
