Bones fans might be in for a drastically different show next season with Booth (David Boreanaz) possibly taking a new job in a foreign country.

Cam Meets Arastoo's Parents As Booth & Brennan Get Swampy on Bones?

Fox has released a new sneak peek of Monday night's episode of Bones, which is titled The Cold in the Case. In the clip, Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are shown in the car discussing the former's new job offer, which would require him to move to Germany.

Booth tells Brennan that he wouldn't want her and their daughter Christine to uproot their lives and move to Germany with him. This doe not sit well with Brennan.

Brennan & Booth Ready For Baby No. 2?

"You'd stand in the way of us having a new and possibly life-changing experience - that seems selfish, Booth!" she says in response.

"You'd really uproot everything?" Booth says, stunned by Brennan's claims.

"Wouldn't you?" Brennan says, possibly doubting his commitment to their relationship.

The clip is not entirely weighed down in big life decisions, however. The pair has a comedic conversation with Brennan considering the idea of preserving her body beyond death. Booth dismisses this, saying that death is about ashes to ashes to ice."

She says, "One day you might be able to download my accumulated consciousness onto a memory chip!" before launching into her reasoning, "We all search for immortality in our way, it's what binds tribes and religions!"

This conversation will take place in Monday night's episode of Bones, the 21st episode of season 9.

Bones season 9 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
