San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick is denying the many sexual assault rumors surrounding him.

Lately, the 26-year-old NFL star is finding his name in hot water, as rumors of him being involved in an alleged sexual assault began to surface on April 10. However, on Friday the athlete spoke his mind about the topic via his verified Twitter account, @Kaepernick7, in an effort to disavow the chatter and insinuate being innocent.

"The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened. I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up. I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced," tweeted Kaepernick on April 11.

Moreover, this past weekend Kaepernick was seen shopping for "hater blockers" a.k.a. sunglasses in L.A. and appeared to be "without a care in the world." According to TMZ Sunday, a rape kit was performed on the alleged victim, and Miami officials are "still awaiting toxicology results from the woman who claims she was hanging out with Colin and two other NFL players on April 1 before winding up in the hospital."
