Age ain't nothing but a number in Tinstletown - especially if you're mega star Johnny Depp, 50, and actress fiancée Amber Heard, 27. The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise star feels there is no problem with their 23 year age difference. Age actually allows him to transcend fear.

Johnny Depp engages Amber Heard in unusual way?

"I'm kicking 50 right up the a--," the Transcendence star said in a June 18th Rolling Stone interview. "Sometimes, even things that seem simple and obvious are scary. I think age, experience and wisdom give us the capacity to move beyond certain stages we didn't dare cross before," he said in today's Hindustan Times. When Depp was asked whether age difference was a problem, he replied, "I don't think so."

Depp met Heard on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011.  At the time he was going through an increasingly bumpy relationship with French actress Vanessa Paradis. They split in 2012. Even though Depp has moved on to a younger woman, he insists that there's "no hostility" between him and his partner of 14 years, French actress Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.  They split last year.

Wednesday's Entertainmentwise reports "Vanessa and I get along wonderfully," he said, "There's no weirdness at all, no hostility. Life happens and we spent 14 great years together and raised a couple of kids who we are both incredibly proud of."
