Tony DiNozzo Goes To France For Action-Packed Episode?

In the April 29 episode "Shooter," Abby, played by Pauley Perrette, will take on a more dramatic role, according to the show's executive producer.

"We've got some really talented, gifted actors on this show and anytime we can put them into situations that stretch them a little bit, we look forward to doing that," Gary Glasberg recently told TVFanatic.com. NCIS Coming Back For Season 12

He added: "My goal with these last episodes, and this is true of Season 12 as well, is to really focus on the team and get back to the basics, as they call it, of the stories and why people watch NCIS. The emotion, the characters...that's what these episodes will focus on."

The season 11 finale will also showcase a new side to one more character -- Leroy Jethro Gibbs. The character will have to deal with the loss of his father, Jackson Gibbs, played by Ralph Waite, who passed away in February.

"Well, it's definitely new territory for him and, honestly, I'm really anxious to see how Harmon plays it," Glasberg said. "We're prepping it right now and we start shooting in a few days and I'm really excited about it."

The NCIS season 11 finale will air on Tuesday, May 13 at 8/7c on CBS.
