One of the princesses who has not been on Once Upon a Time since the first season is returning for one of the final episodes of season 3.

Princess Abigail, played by Anastasia Griffith, is set to return to Once Upon a Time, according to the actress herself.

"It's true... she's back @OnceABC..." Griffith tweeted Monday, "will Princess Abigail cause trouble for Snow and Charming?... What, what?!"

Emma Leaving Storybrooke Behind After Curse Is Lifted on Once Upon a Time?

Princess Abigail has not appeared on Once Upon a Time since episode 13 of season 1, titled What Happened to Frederick. Meanwhile, her Storybrooke counterpart Kathryn Nolan last appeared six episodes later in episode 19, The Return.

While a relatively minor character in the overall arc of the series, Princess Abigail is royalty nonetheless, being the daughter of King Midas.

It is not clear when Griffith will be returning as Abigail but presumably it will be in the current season 3.

In other Once Upon a Time spoiler news, ABC has released a plot synopsis for the next episode of season 3, which is titled A Curious Thing.

In the episode, Zelena (Rebecca Mader) will threaten to kill Henry if Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) does not kiss Emma (Jennifer Morrison). This kiss would drain all of Emma's magical powers as Hook's lips have been cursed. Additionally, things will really heat up between Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).

Meanwhile, in a flashback to the Fairy Tale Land that was, from the past year, Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) are on the hunt for Glinda the Good Witch in order to try and defeat Zelena. This episode is set to air Sunday, April 27.

Once Upon a Time season 3 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
