The reality star resigned from the VH1 show about three weeks ago, The New York Daily News reported. She joined the show during season 4.

"The word is that she trying to present a better image to the judge," a source told the newspaper. "She's trying to fix her image."

Did Alicia DiMichele Lie To The Judge To Go On Vegas Trip?

The news comes at the same time that the 40-year-old announced that she withdrew her guilty plea over the charges of fraud and embezzlement she obtained as the bookkeeper at her estranged husband's trucking company.

Eddie "Tall Guy" Garofalo is currently at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. serving time for charges of murder conspiracy, extortion and witness tampering in connection to the company. He was sentenced last December and will serve seven years in prison.

The newspaper also noted the troubles with the money DiMichelle will have to pay Teamsters Local 282. DiMichele's lawyer estimated $20,000 while the union claimed an amount of $2.8 million with 18 percent interest. In turn, Federal Judge Sandra Townes denied the lower number and instead allowed the retraction of DiMichele's guilty plea.

"I'm relieved and as always I'm staying positive," DiMichele told the newspaper.

Her defense lawyer, John Wallenstein, added: "We expect there will be a new plea that satisfies the government and the defense without having her potentially liable for $2 million in restitution."

Many fans rushed to Twitter to express their sadness over DiMichele's decision to leave the reality show, including one who wrote, " I respect your decision to leave Mob Wives, you will truly be missed! Wishing you & your family the best of luck!!"
