Fox is deactivating Almost Human, androids and humans alike.

Who Is Red's Greatest Foe On The Blacklist? Will Berlin, Fitch, or Liz Be A Greater Threat In The Final Episodes?

The futuristic cop drama premiered last November, but Deadline has reported that it will not make it to a second season.

Despite averaging roughly 5.5 million viewers during its short 13-episode run, the JJ Abrams project will be closing up shop for good ahead of the Fox Upfronts this May.

Will Matt Smith Crossover From Doctor Who to Sherlock?

Staring Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Michael Ealy (Common Law), Almost Human took place in a not-so-distant future where crime was quickly outstripping police resources. To combat the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles in the year 2048, law enforcement agencies implemented the use of android officers.

While most of these new robotic recruits were cool headed and logical, John Kennex (Urban) was saddled with a defunct DRN model named Dorian (Ealy). Part of a project called synthetic soul, Dorian was created to feel more like a human, a fact which made him the perfect partner for the android-adverse Kennex.

Unfortunately, it now looks as if fans will never get to see the unlikely friends take on their next case. Perhaps Abrams can follow in Joss Whedon's footsteps and pull the failed series from the TV to the big screen.
