Could Iron Man 4 include a visit from the one and only Hulk? Iron Man 3 ended with a special scene between Bruce Banner (The Hulk) and Tony Stark (Iron Man), leading into a good opening for The Hulk to appear in the next film.

Why Robert Downey, Jr. Says He May Be Done With Film

"If they do Iron Man 4 and Banner is in that, that would be very cool," current Hulk Mark Ruffalo said recently. Ruffalo and Robert Downey, Jr. who plays Tony Stark, also appear in the Avengers film together.

There have been many rumors suggesting a fourth Iron Man film may not even happen, especially since Downey, Jr. will be older by the time the films start shooting.

Robert Downey, Jr. Not First Choice For Iron Man?

"The smart money is you have to look at everybody's age," Downey, Jr. said. "I'll put myself at the top of the list. Sooner or later, they've got to start over and get somebody young. I'm not there with them yet."

Despite that, Downey, Jr. has plenty of support from people who want to see the actor continue in the role. "I think people would love to see Robert Downey continue the Iron Man character," Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau said, "but he's done it quite a bit now. I've had a few movies off, so it's a lot easier for me to say that it should be done. I hope he continues doing it and, as long as he fits in that suit, there's no reason he shouldn't."

Until the decision is made, Downey, Jr. will definitely appear in another Avengers film and now Ruffalo is also talking about the possibility of a Hulk solo movie.

"I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it," Ruffalo told Digital Spy. "When we did The Avengers it was basically 'No!', and now there is some consideration for it. But there's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut."
