Rumors swirled earlier that Downey, Jr. may not even be a part of Iron Man 4 if it does come out. Downey, Jr. said that audiences may relate to someone else by the time the fourth film comes out.

"It really is the closest thing to being a beloved contract player with a big old-timey studio that there is right now," the actor added. "When you really think about it at the end of the day, these films are entertainment largely driven by young folks. There is something very honorable about that."

So, who could replace Downey, Jr. According to the fans, most Iron Man devotees wouldn't mind seeing Saving Mr. Banks star Colin Farrell take the lead as Tony Stark.
