Wesley told TVGuide.com that she found out about her character's impending death over the last hiatus, but had to keep it a secret. "It was kind of crazy. I was like, 'Wow, OK!' But that's what makes it True Blood. We're in our final season. We have to keep it bloody. Somebody's gotta go!"

Wesley revealed she thought Tara was picked because True Blood wanted to "get people right in there."

Is True Blood Becoming A Musical?

"I was OK with it," Wesley said about Tara dying on the drama. "I'm sad. It's kind of bittersweet because I'm going to miss everybody, but on to bigger and better things. It's been a wild ride so far."

Tara's death will obviously affect those around her, especially BFF Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). "They're going to be deeply affected by it," Wesley said. "Tara and Sookie and best friends. I think it's going to affect her deeply. She's going to miss her."

Although characters do tend to come back from the dead on True Blood, Wesley revealed that Tara is indeed dead. "I'm no longer," Wesley said. But, that doesn't mean Wesley has any ill will towards the show. "I've loved my journey on this show," the actress told Vulture, "so I have no regrets."
