The production for season 6 of The Good Wife has finally begun and the first on set image featuring Julianna Margulies, who plays Alicia Florrick, was revealed.

Josh Charles To Return In A Different Role For Season 3 Of The Good Wife

On July 10, the CBS legal drama got back to work and it was announced via the show's official Twitter account in style, with Margulies, dressed in character as Alicia in the Florrick/Agos offices, holding up the script for the next season.

"What secrets are these cast members holding? #TheGoodWife is back in production: https://bit.ly/1lXwCSz ," the caption teased.

Florrick-Agos To Get Stronger & Bigger Than Lockhart-Gardner In Next Chapter Of The Good Wife?

The cast seems in good spirits in spite of the fact that The Good Wife got an Emmy snub this year, even though, many were expecting the show to be on the list of Best Drama noms. But Margulies has earned a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series. A few of the other cast members of the show have also earned a spot in the nomination list this year. Josh Charles, who played Will Gardner on the show, has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama series, and Christine Baranski, who portrays Diane Lockhart, has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series. Dylan Baker, who plays a menacing client on the show, has earned a nom in the Outstanding Guest Star Actor category.

The highlight of the finale for season 5 was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) become a candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.

The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.

Season 6 of The Good Wife will premiere on CBS on September 21.
