Hannibal's Will Graham had a particularly rough ending to season 2, and the profiler will spend season 3 trying to figure out just what type of headspace he is now in.

How Will 'Hannibal' Deal With Will Graham and Dr Lecter's Seperation?

After seeing his friendship with Hannibal fall to pieces as the psychiatrist gutted him, Graham (Hugh Dancy) will have to drag himself off the floor and decide what his next step will be.

"So much of the second chapter of this past season was Will rocketing toward his own doom, and willingly approaching that target, which has a sadness and a dread to it, at the same time as an inevitability," explained series creator Bryan Fuller, according to Digital Spy. "So much of what we're doing in the third season, in the first three or four episodes certainly, is really exploring: what is Will Graham's state?"

As Hannibal lives life on the lam in Europe, Graham will rise like Frankenstein's monster.

"He died, for all intents and purposes, in the finale," Fuller told Digital Spy. "He was gutted, and stitched back together as a new man. And who that man is will be a great part of the first part of season three."
