The 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith brought Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together on screen and off, and now they're reportedly doing another film together.

Will Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Reunite In New Film?

While the movie is mostly known now as the place where one of Hollywood's foremost power couples first met, it was also a popular, financially successful film. Since then, Pitt and Jolie have remained together, having children and all that good stuff, but they haven't appeared in another movie together. That's about to change.

According to a post from Vulture on Friday, Universal has acquired the rights to a project called By the Sea, which will star both Jolie and Pitt. There is not a lot of detail on the plot at this moment, but it is being described as an "intimate, character-driven drama." Jolie is going to write as well as direct, and Pitt will chip in as a producer. So, Jolie and Pitt are all over this project.

Will Brad Pitt Star In True Detective Season 2?

While the couple are both known primarily as big time movie stars, both have Oscar nominations for acting to their name, and Jolie has a win, but they have behind-the-scenes experience as well. Jolie has already directed two films, with her latest, Unbroken, coming out this year. Pitt has produced film previously, including the winner of Best Picture last year, 12 Years a Slave.

This film is in the very early stages, and it will likely be a long time before it comes out, but given the fact that Jolie and Pitt are both attached to the project, it is likely to get plenty of attention from filmgoers.
