To the dismay of many fans of Arrow and The Flash, it seems like the actors from the television series will not be appearing in any upcoming DC movies, like Justice League, according to DC Comics Chief Creative Office Geoff Johns.

Emily Blunt Joining The Justice League Movie?

Johns, speaking at the Televisions Critics Association press tour on The Flash, was adamant that characters from the popular CW series would not pop up in their upcoming films.

"We will not be integrating the film and television universes," Johns said.

Stephen Amell Appearing as Green Arrow in Batman vs. Superman or Justice League Movie?

He elaborated a little more, saying that the television and film worlds have their own production teams and he wants to make it simpler for them, and not make them worry about integrating.

"It's a separate universe than film so that the filmmakers can tell the story that's best for film," he said. "While we explore something different in a different corner of the DC universe."

Not only would they separate the universe, but Johns also added that some characters were reserved for television and others for movies. For example, he said that neither Batman nor Superman would be showing up in an episode of Arrow or The Flash.

But that doesn't exclude Justice League hero Wonder Woman from showing up on TV as CW President Mark Pedowitz said that if the right script came along, he would entertain a Wonder Woman series.

While it seems like DC wants to have two separate universes, it doesn't make too much sense after the leaked schedule shows a Flash and Green Lantern team-up movie. But nothing is confirmed with that yet.

Justice League hits theaters in 2017.
