Life on the road has certainly changed for musicians over the years, and these days country artist Miranda Lambert likes to move in style.

Miranda Lambert 'Sings' With Her Dogs

The singer hit the road earlier this month to promote her new album Platinum, but took some time to give USA Today a tour of her little "cottage on wheels" (featured below).

"It's brand new…" explained Lambert as she sat comfortably on her tour bus, "It's actually a bus I had on tour last year, but we gutted the interior… buses can be unreliable sometimes so when you know you have a good engine and a good shell you stick with it."

While the musician may refer to her tour bus like it is any other automobile of its kind, her's most certainly has some unique perks, including a fully stocked light pink fridge, filled with water, beer, wine, snacks, and of course, plenty of ice.

She also has a comfortable private bedroom, complete with dressing room style mirror. The star admitted that she does to her own makeup for shows. As for sleeping, she has a bed along the wall which she claimed was pretty comfortable, especially with a few of her dogs piled on top of her.

Lambert also has a section of the bus reserved for guests, complete with pink curtains, for when friends come to stay. When those bunks are empty, the singer uses the area as storage for her guitars and other gear.

"I wanted something pretty calming…" explained the singer in discussing the overall tone of the bus, "When you step off this bus it's usually pretty fast paced… so when I come on here I really just wanted to have a place where it's like a little cottage on wheels and I could have relaxation."

At the end of the tour, Lambert reminded fans that she is touring into September. "Please come see us on the road," she told them, "We have a brand new set and a brand new set list. Can't wait to share it with you."
