Depending on the success of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, fans could be seeing a few familiar characters joining the new-look turtles and Megan Fox in the possible sequels.

Speaking with ScreenRant, director Johnathan Liebesman and producer Andrew Form said that Casey Jones, Bebop, and Rocksteady could show up in a sequel, if they have one.

"We're just finishing the movie but we all wish that we could put everything into the movie. We all have other characters that we wish we could have had in this movie," Form said.

"Casey Jones. Bebop and Rocksteady. We had those conversations throughout development of this movie but we're launching this movie now in two weeks. Hopefully everybody feels the same way we do [about it]. We love them [Bebop and Rocksteady]."

Nothing is set in stone since the film has yet to open and no one knows if it will make enough to warrant a sequel, but with it being a Michael Bay produced movie, thinking about a sequel doesn't seem out of the realm of absurdity.

All three characters are staples from the original series, with Jones being the only character getting a live-action treatment (in Steve Barron's 1990 film), while Bebop and Rocksteady have never made the live-action jump.

As of now, the response for the movie has been good with people from Comic-Con commenting that the movie looks like it gets its audience and has a lot of kid-friendly humor and action that will surely win over a new legion of fans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is released on August 8.
