Even though Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't hit theaters until Thursday night, the post credit scenes have hit the web, and confirmed that another Marvel character will be making a cameo.

Following the credits of Guardians, the screen shows The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) sitting and nursing a wound as he sips a drink. But a voice behind him toys with the wounded man.

Following the final events of the movie, it looks like Howard the Duck will appear alongside the The Collector in his museum. Held prisoner, Howard obviously escapes during the big explosion that happens after Star-Lord and Gamora bring The Collector a mysterious orb that is being sought by many different individuals throughout the galaxy.

Will Mark Ruffalo's Hulk Fit In James Gunn 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Sequel?

Howard the Duck was not a character many thought would re-appear in the Marvel universe, but it looks like the famed duck will be reappearing for a short while during the post credits of the latest Marvel feature. The scene was constructed by his creators, Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik.

Telegraph said that there is speculation that Marvel deliberately leaked the footage, either to mislead audiences about what the real post-credit sequences will contain, or to generate further publicity for the film.

Either way, the footage has now been removed from VK, although it is still available to watch on a number of other websites.

Directed by James Gunn from a script by Gunn and Nicole Perlman, the film stars Pratt as Peter Quill or Star-Lord who teams up with a group of criminals, including Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Drax (Dave Bautista) to rid the universe from Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). The film also stars Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin as the voice of Thanos.
