Former MTV Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has gotten criticism for going under the knife a number of times, but the 23-year-old insists that her plastic surgery has improved her life.

"I think if other women feel that is what will make them feel whole and satisfied then I think that's their healthy way of helping themselves," explained Abraham in a recent interview with Rumor Fix (featured below).

The mother of five-year-old Sophia explained that she used to look at herself in the mirror for hours, unhappy with what she saw. "You don't want to hate your face when you're looking at yourself…" she explained, "I'd rather bless myself and get the surgery and move forward with my life."

Abraham has gotten surgery done on her nose and teeth, as well as lip injections, a chin implant and two boob jobs.

While she is the only one in her family to have gotten cosmetic surgery, she admitted that she would consent to her daughter getting it in the future if Sophia was truly unhappy with herself.

"I encourage women to take of themselves, invest in themselves, and be happier…" she noted. "I would hope that my confidence and my self respect is where it needs to be."

For better or worse, Abraham has made a career out of her image. She recently started a new line of sex toys molded from her own body parts. She is also the author of the erotic trilogy Celebrity Sex Tape, the first book of which was released a year after her 2013 sex tape scandal.
