It looks like DC will follow Marvel and get their superhero movie schedule squared away for the next six years.

Is The X-Men & Justice League Crossover Dead Before It Started?

Warner Bros. announced on Wednesday that they have set dates for their upcoming DC Comics movies up to the year 2020 with two movies showing each year starting in the year 2017. The move is similar to the Marvel schedule that is set to the year 2019, but that studio also will be showing three movies a year instead of two.

With the schedule announcement, Warner Bros. also revealed that they would be moving the release date for Batman v Superman from May 6, 2016 to March 25, 2016, moving it away from Marvel's Captain America 3.

Could Superman's Killer Appear In 'Justice League?'

The other dates included in the DC Comics slate are: August 5, 2016; June 23, 2017; November 17, 2017; March 23, 2018; July 27, 2018; April 5, 2019; June 14, 2019; April 3, 2020; and June 19, 2020. Each date is labeled as an untitled DC movie.

Speculation has the August 5, 2016 or June 23, 2017 date as the Justice League movie with the other dates undetermined other than movies have been rumored for such heroes as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and The Flash. Wonder Woman could sneak into the late 2016 or early 2017 date since they already have Gal Gadot cast in the role and making an appearance in Batman v Superman.

Zack Snyder is returning to direct Justice League after Batman v Superman, and other projects in development include Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Neil Gaiman's adaptation of The Sandman as well as a Shazam movie starring Dwayne Johnson.
