With rumors that Darkseid is set to be the overarching bad guy for the DC universe, it seems like another big villain could make his way to the Justice League to fight the heroes.

Big Bad Darkseid May Not Meet 'Justice League' Until The Sequel, Possible Tease Could Happen Sooner

Bleeding Cool reported in July that Doomsday may make an appearance in Justice League and it could lead to the death of Superman (Henry Cavill) during the course of the film. This adds another villain to the slate that includes Lex Luthor, Victor Szasz, Morgan Edge, David Cain and Amanda Waller as potential bad guys showing up between Justice League and Batman v. Superman.

While it looks like DC may be over-stuffing their villains all into two films, the degree to which they appear could be very minimal.

For Doomsday, it could be more of a cameo appearance similar to Thanos at the end of the credits for The Avengers, where fans are given a glimpse of what is expected to come later on in the universe.

Doomsday is portrayed as a deadly monster born from the depths of ancient Krypton. His creation imbued him with few feelings, mostly hate and destruction which led to his destroying worlds and eventually finding Earth where he meets, and kills, Superman. It seems like Doomsday could possibly be Superman's enemy, much in the vein of Loki to the Avengers.

Justice League is set to open in theaters in 2017 with Zack Snyder returning to direct and Argo writer Chris Terrio penning the script. The film will star Ben Affleck, Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jeremy Irons.
