The fifth season of Downton Abbey still has a while before it comes to television, but more details have been exposed from one of the actresses who's wishing the best for her character.

Sandra Bullock Rumored To Join The Series?

On Sunday, Express posted an interview with Joanna Froggatt (Anna Bates) who revealed that she sees a positive future for her and Mr. Bates.

"I think Anna and Bates probably will end up having a peaceful life together," the actress said. Even though this is her own interpretation, she's open to the fact that series creator Julian Fellowes might have other ideas up his sleeve.

Will Lady Mary 'Confess' Something To Anna?

"But I'm not sure how Julian Fellowes will tie the storyline up," Froggatt said. "As a viewer I'd like to see them happy- though as an actress I like the dramatic stuff."

Considering that the fifth season will likely embark on Anna and Bates dealing with the aftermath of her sexual assault, odds are likely that things will start out pretty difficult. But if Froggatt gets her way, then these two might be able to work through it.

In a recent E! News article, the actress revealed that things might start off in a decent place for Anna, but the horrific incident will still be a part of her and her husband.

"Anna and Bates do start season five in a more positive place than they were in season four, but obviously such an event is not something that dissipates or goes away," Froggatt said. "It's something that people live with for the rest of their lives."

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere on Sunday, January 4 in the United States on PBS.
