On August 15, it was reported that Connie Nielsen will be joining the cast of The Good Wife for its sixth season.

First Look At Taye Diggs On Set Of Season 6 Of The Good Wife

TVLine got the exclusive information, and revealed that her character Ramona, "is a smart, beautiful attorney with far-reaching Cook County connections." The actress has also starred in The Following, in which she played a serial killer.

It was revealed that Private Practice alum Taye Diggs will be joining the show. He will play Dean Levine-Wilkins, who has been described as a "meticulous" and "talented" equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner. Wilkins will actually movie with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) to Florrick/Agos.

Eli Gould's New Look For Season 6 Of The Good Wife Revealed

Steven Pasquale is the other recent entrant for season 6, and will be playing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) campaign manager, should she choose to run for State's Attorney. It was also reported that Mike Colter, who played the recurring part of Lemond Bishop on the show, will be returning with the next chapter.

The highlight of the finale for season 5 was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia become a candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.

The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.

Season 6 of The Good Wife will premiere on CBS on September 21.
