It seems like Insurgent stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley are getting along really well. And according to James, that means really, really well.

'The Fault In Our Stars' Actor Says He Will Appear More, Do Stunts In 'Insurgent'

During a interview posted on Entertainment Wise on Monday, James dished on what it was like having to kiss Woodley on-set and his feelings towards having to do that.

"I just went at it hard, to be honest, because I thought that's how she wanted it. I thought to assuage any awkwardness I would just go for it. She was kind of batting away my hands," James said. "I just wanted to practice the kissing scene with Shai as much as possible. I'd say 'Listen, after dinner we could just go over that scene again.'"

It seems like James wasn't the only one getting in on the action as other co-star Miles Teller played the "third wheel."

"It was kind of nice because we had Miles as Peter literally in the background as we were kissing. He was making hissing noises which actually added to the sexuality," James added.

"The kissing scene with Shai and I, we wanted that to be as good as possible. Because it's the only scene where [Four and Tris] get together, and we wanted it to be real and not just be lots of cheese. So, we shot that a second time because the first time it didn't feel right, and we wanted to honor it in the way that it earned. There's not lots of banging eyelids and fauning towards each other. It's quite a functional, tough, intricate relationship."

James must be hoping for more kissing with Woodley in the sequel Insurgent, which opens in theaters on March 20, 2015.
