Beyonce was supposed to be the star of the night at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, but her daughter Blue Ivy stole the spotlight.

As her mother performed songs from her self-titled latest album, Blue Ivy watched from the audience while sitting on Jay Z's lap. She sported a little dress and danced around to her mother's music, especially during the song Flawless.

And, after Beyonce concluded her 10-minute show, Jay Z and the 2-year-old presented the superstar with the Video Vanguard Award.

"Good job, Mommy," Blue Ivy said into the microphone as she clapped for her mother.

"I have nothing to say but I'm filled with so much gratitude. I just thank God for this moment," Beyonce said. "I love y'all so much."

Little Blue, who looked around the room as everyone chanted her mother's name, made sure to wave to the audience in what was probably the most adorable moment of the whole night.

"Blue, Blue I love you. My beloved I love you. My fans I love you. MTV I love you," Beyonce said at the end of her speech and then hugged her family.
